Hi, everyone!  Happy 4th of July!  Today we give thanks for our independence, and to all of the troops who sacrifice their own lives so that we can live our lives with freedom.  

My husband is a Navy Veteran, and on days like today I am reminded all to well of just how much he sacrificed for us.  I am so blessed with the fact that he comes home to me safe and sound every night, and realize that many do not have such a blessing.  To those spouses and children who also sacrifice when their loved ones serve, I hold my hat out to you.

On days like today, I also realize how fortunate I am to live in this country.  Not every place in the world, would I be allowed to write a post like this, one where I can share my every thoughts so easily.  I am truly blessed, and thankful that my girls will also be able to choose their own paths while we live in this amazing country.  

So, I feel even more blessed to be able to share my passion with you all, and besides my passion, that blessing is writing.  I couldn't imagine not being able to write.  In my own world, writing is as necessary as breathing.  I love to write and draw and use my imagination.  Even more so, I love to share my creations with the world.  So, as this blog continues to hopefully grow, I share the works of other authors, but today a little piece of who I am.

I am a wife, a mama, a friend, a daughter, and so much more.  I am also a writer/illustrator, and wouldn't trade that or any other for the world.  I have created a monthly newsletter to try and keep tabs on all that is going on in this busy day to day life, but also to share with the world and you all what is going on.  I hope you all will not only continue to follow my blog here, but perhaps visit my Facebook page where I will share the latest happenings in the life of this girl, little old me, Jodi Stone.

I am looking forward to each day, each journey life provides.  As a way to give back,  I am happy to announce one of my children's books, 'Princess Stories' will be available on Amazon for a free download beginning July 5th and running through July 9th.  I am also happy to celebrate the launch of my newest children's book, 'My Little Cheerleader', which will be available on July 21st!  

I write from the inspiration my three daughter's provide on a daily basis, and they are all the characters in my books.  I occasionally introduce new guest characters in my stories, but one thing will always remain, and that is the fact that my three babies will always be the prime reason I write what I do.
