The use of GMO's (genetically modified organisms) by the farming industry is a hot button health topic. GMO's are used to increase the size, color, and ultimately the profitability of the food item. However, we are starting to see some negative health consequences as well.
It appears that GMO's have even made their way into our baby formula. While breastfeeding is always best, their are some mothers who are unable to breastfeed due a health conditions. Often, those newborns receive formula in lieu of breastmilk. As you can see, many of the most popular formulas are loaded with GMO's. While other formulas with lower (or preferrably no GMO content) might be slightly more expensive, it may be in the best interest of their health!
