Don't Miss Today's FANG Back-To-School Festival at Campo YMCA

Vendors will be on hand at the Campo Family YMCA in Valrico for the 11th annual festival hosted by the FishHawk Area Networking Group.

With only one full weekend to go before classes start for the 2013-14 school year, families will be at the Campo Family YMCA today, Aug. 4, for the 11th annual FANG Back-To-School Festival.

It's a must-attend for local folks looking to get a heads-up on programs, services and activities provided by groups and businesses in the Greater Brandon area for school-aged children and their families. Lots of giveaways to take home, too.

This year for the first time the location for the FishHawk Area Networking Group (FANG) Back-to-School Festival has been moved indoors, where it will be cool all day and rain will not be a threat. The festival is set to run from 1 to 4 pm. at the Campo YMCA gymnasium in Valrico, at 3414 Culbreath Road.

As always, the event will collect back-to-school supplies for children from families who have a hard time affording their cost.

Admission is free but $10 worth of new school supplies or a $10 cash donation per family is requested. The supplies will go to the Y’s backpacks for school children collection effort. Last year, more than 400 students received supplies as the result of the event.
