Fireworks Display, Celebration to Take Place at Westfield Brandon

A professional fireworks display starting 9 p.m. July 4 will be part of the ninth annual Brandon Blast celebration at the Westfield Brandon shopping mall.

News Report Westfield Brandon is celebrating Independence Day with Brandon Blast on July 4, beginning at 5 p.m. in the restaurant courtyard in front of The Cheesecake Factory and California Pizza Kitchen. Sheriff's Office Offers Holiday Safety Tips

The sheriff's office will add patrols around Westfield Brandon mall during the holidays.

Criminals and traffic violators beware. Sheriff's deputies will conduct enhanced traffic operations around Westfield Brandon mall during the Thanksgiving holiday.  The additional deputies will help to monitor the flow of traffic and deter criminal activity this holiday season, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office press release. Electronic sign boards will be deployed daily around the mall to inform and encourage public safety. The mounted patrol, motorcycle and bike patrol will be used around the mall to ensure shoppers' personal safety and to deter vehicle burglaries.    Deputies also will distribute auto burglary prevention pamphlets in parking lots throughout the holiday season in an effort to educate the public on their …

Shop at Westfield Mall to Benefit Schools

The mall is offering opportunities to win $2,500 for your school and is collecting items for "Stuff the Bus."

It won't be long before kids everywhere go back to school. Westfield's Give Back To School event goes on Aug. 1 through September 12.
