The WFamiliy Fun Day is set to kick off 1 p.m. and features stories pegged to spring and nature, according to a Westfield Brandon post on Facebook. The Chipotle Mexican Grill is coming to the Westfield Brandon shopping mall food court, where a ceiling-to-floor sign in the spot announces: "Burritos, Tacos, Salads, Soon." The sign also announces, "We're hiring," with the link to do so at Chipotle.com/careers. The Westfield Brandon Chipotle rests between existing grill locations in Brandon (at 829 East Bloomingale Avenue, in the Publix- and Walmart-anchored Bloomingdale Plaza, at the corner of Bell Shoals Road) and South Tampa (at 533 South Howard Ave.). Rabbi Mendel Rubashkin of Chabad of Brandon, at the menorah lighting at Westfield Brandon on Dec. 9, talked about the greater meaning of Hanukkah, which marks the miracle of oil enough to burn for one day, instead lasting for eight. "It's a universal message, Chanukah, it doesn't have to be a religious one," he said. "Who doesn't oppose persecution, and support the rights of the minority, if they're being oppressed by the majority?" Hanukkah, he added, "is about spreading the message of hope." This year, Hanukkah begins on the evening of Saturday, Dec. 8 and ends on the evening of Sunday, Dec. 16. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest of two shop lifters who nabbed perfume from the Westfield Brandon mall on Black Friday. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, two women, age 22 to 29, entered Sephora at the mall Nov. 23 at 7:40 p.m., carrying large bags. They then worked together, selecting and concealing $3,000 worth of perform in the bags. Both thieves were black. One is 5 feet 3 inches tall, 170 pounds with a large build, red or auburn wig or hair weave with several visible tattoos.
