The Trey Curry Foundation hosted the sixth annual Vine to Wine benefit at The Regent in Riverview on May 10. Proceeds will benefit A Kid's Place in Brandon.
The Trey Curry Foundation hosted the sixth annual Vine to Wine benefit at The Regent in Riverview, where Mary Beth Curry said some 400 tickets had been sold, including 348 tickets in advance. "Every thing from this event goes directly to A Kid's Place" in Brandon, said Curry's mother, Terry Curry, as the May 10 event was wrapping up in The Regent's grand ballroom. The Trey Curry Foundation will present a $400,000 donation to A Kid's Place in Brandon. As a result, a fifth home at the facility for children who have been neglected or abused will be named the Trey Curry House. Clifton "Trey" Curry III of Valrico died March 1, 2008, at the age of 20. Following his untimely death, his family established the foundation to help children in need. Since then, the foundation has hosted an annual fishing tournament, the Treyfest and the Vine to Wine fundraising auction to raise funds in Curry's memory. As a result of those fundraisers, on Feb. 24, the foundation, represented by Curry's parents, Clif and Terry, and his siblings, Mary Beth and Colton, will unveil the Trey Curry House at A Kid's Place on Lithia-…
