A teenager is dead following a traffic crash that shut down Kings Avenue south of Bloomingdale Avenue on Friday afternoon, authorities said. It wasn't immediately clear what caused the accident at South Kings and Coppertree Circle in Brandon, where a Ford Explorer carrying seven people left the roadway and overturned around 2:50 p.m. Friday. The teen was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, while the other passengers received only minor injuries, sheriff's office spokesperson Larry McKinnon said. Rhonda Gee, 42, suffered possible head injuries when her 2012 Dodge was hit by a 1995 Buick at Bloomingdale Avenue and Lithia Pinecrest Road sometime after 7:30 a.m. Thursday, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
