Readers’ Choice: Where Do You Go to Get Memorial Day Eats and Drinks?

Do you have a favorite place in town to take a break from the kitchen and relax on Memorial Day?

Barbecues, swimming pools, time off work and school. Summer is almost here, but first we get to enjoy a long, lazy Memorial Day weekend. In case you forgot, it’s coming up faster than you think. Memorial Day 2012 is May 28. With that in mind, we turn this week’s Readers’ Choice poll over to a very important topic: where to go for the best Memorial Day eats and drinks in town? GET OUT: Weekend Events Preview July 29-31

With a variety of entertainment venues and restaurants in the area, there's no reason to spend the weekend at home. We've put together a list of fun things to do in the Bloomingdale area.

Hillsborough County Affordable Housing Services will hold an open house at the Progress Village Recreation Center, 8701 Progress Village Blvd., Thursday, April 21, to provide detailed information and assist homeowners with the process to apply for assistance through the county's Housing Programs.  This meeting is targeting eligible homeowners whose homes were damaged as a result of the storms on March 31.    The housing assistance available includes home rehabilitation/repair, assistance with insurance deductibles and emergency relocation assistance. …

Main Event: Bob Prong in Concert

The Seffner musician will perform Monday at J.F. Kick's Neighborhood Bar and Grill.

Seffner musician and music teacher Bob Prong will perform live at J.F. Kick's Neighborhood Bar & Grill, 3345 Lithia-Pinecrest Road, Valrico, Monday April 18 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.  Originally from New York, Prong has been a professional musician for 20 years and has taught thousands of people to play the guitar. Patch Picks: St. Patrick's Day Celebrations
