Hillsborough Republicans are calling President Obama's comments May 9 concerning legalizing same-sex marriage a ploy to garner votes this fall. In a television interview May 9, Obama publicly endorsed making same-sex marriage legal. The interview with ABC's Robin Roberts was broadcast yesterday afternoon. “I’ve just concluded that for me, personally, it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married,” Obama said to Roberts.
