Diego is a playful 1-year old chihuahua/mini Schnauzer mix who is full of love and affection. He loves to play at the dog park, where he is very popular with the other dogs, big and small. Diego is an inside dog who will lie still next to you as you pet him, watch TV or take a nap. At night, he sleeps on the floor next to his owner's bed. Diego enjoys playing in the yard, chasing squirrels and playing with stuffed dog toys and bones. He would be happiest with a family that has a yard with children that he can run and play with, although he is a perfect companion for a single male or female who has another dog, as he was raised with a Bijon Havanese. Diego enjoys long walks and has been through dog training, so he will sit on command. …

Arial, an adult female chihuahua mix, was rescued from a kill shelter. She was abused so she tends to be a little shy and can take a while to warm up to people. However, once acclimated, she's cute, loveable and sweet, and she loves attention. She and her sister were found wandering the streets because her owners didn't want her anymore. Her sister was adopted and now it's her turn to find a good home. She's been checked out by a vet and is healthy. If interested in adopting Arial, fill out an application online at www.heidislegacydogrescue.com. If you have questions, feel free to contact her foster parent, Jessica, at 407-666-4154. Her adoption fee is $175 cash only to cover medical bills.

A chihauhau mix, Finley is blind but responds well to physical contact and responds to voices. He is sweet and knows his name. He goes potty on the paper and knows where his food and water are so he has no trouble keeping a full tummy and quenching his thirst. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. Heidi's Legacy Dog Rescue in Lithia is looking for someone with plenty of time, patience and love to adopt Finley. To fill out an application, visit Heidi's Legacy's website.
