Regent Executive Director Prepares For Center's Opening
An open house will take place Jan. 15
She hasn't spent $1 on marketing, but Kristen Kerr already has a dozen eager customers. The executive director of The Regent, formerly the Brandon Community Advantage Center, Kerr has lined up a bevy of brides, event organizers and caterers, all anxious to reserve Brandon's newest banquet facility for their affairs. And Kerr is ready to accommodate them, whether it's a lecture for 50 people or a civic function attracting a crowd of 1,500. "We're offering Brandon the space it's needed for so long," said Kerr. Located on Watson Road in the neotraditional Winthrop community, the new building contains 27,699 square feet of air-conditioned space and 1,400 square feet of covered outdoor areas.
