Bulls' Cody Crouse Commits to Florida International University

In the first scholarship signing of the school year, Bloomingdale High School senior signed to play at FIU.

The baseball season hasn't even started, but one Bloomingdale High School player is already batting 1,000. Surrounded by family, teammates, his coaches and Bloomingdale High School Principal Mark West, Cody Crouse signed a baseball scholarship to attend Florida International University in Miami. The Bulls pitcher called it a dream come true. "I've dreamed of this ever since I was a little kid," said Crouse who hopes to one day play professionally. After looking into a number of college programs, he said FIU was his first pick and was thrilled to receive the scholarship offer. The Panthers, currently in the Sun Belt Conference, will join Conference USA in July 2013. Under head coach Turtle Thomas, the Panthers won an impressive 40 games …

Bloomingdale Bulls Go Down Fighting at 7 on 7 Tournament

The Bulls went seven games deep into the tournament before getting eliminated by Tampa Bay Tech.

7 on 7 football is when the quarterback and six running backs and receivers take on seven defensive backs and linebackers in a game of two-hand-touch football. It's very much like a pickup game of football. These usually occur inter-squad but Florida has exploded with 7 on 7 tournaments during the summer. "It's great. Our youth gets experience running our offensive and defensive schemes," said Head Coach John Booth. The Bulls went into The BCP 9 Route 7 on 7 Tournament on Friday without their starting quarterback. Cody Crouse could not make the first day and wide receiver, Adam Posateri, stood in for them. They opened up pool play with eventual tournament finalist, Wharton, and fell 24-12.
