The Regent to Host Open House Today
The $5 million facility is the Brandon area's newest banquet venue
Event planner Liz Brewer can’t wait to stage her first event at The Regent, the Brandon area newest banquet venue. “It’s beautiful,” Brewer said. “Bigger than I thought.” Brewer was among about 200 people attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception for The Regent Friday night. Also attending were members of the Brandon Community Advantage Center board of directors, who oversaw the construction of the center and political leaders who had a hand in the financing the $5 million nonprofit center. Today The Regent will open to the general public for tours from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A venue large enough to host Brandon's major events, The Regent was two years in the planning but took only a year to be constructed.
