Vandals Target Mailboxes in Bloomingdale West

More than a dozen mailboxes in Bloomingdale West were smashed by pranksters

Marilyn Martin and fellow residents in Bloomingdale West woke up Thursday morning only to make a frustrating discovery. Some time during the night of Wednesday, May 23, or early-morning hours of May 24, someone had driven through the neighborhood, smashing mailboxes, and sending remnants flying into yards. Martin contacted the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, which is investigating the vandalism by the pranksters. However, no arrests have been made. Anyone who knows the identity of the vandals or who witnessed the vandalism can call the Bloomingdale Sheriff's Substation at 813-635-8040.
