Buddy is a purebred rat terrier who was turned in to a shelter by his owner because he lost his home. The shelter was going to euthanize this loyal, sweet little guy for being “too old” at the young age of 6 years. Buddy is healthy, neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, up to date on his shots and microchipped. He is housebroken, crate-trained, good with adults and kids alike as well as other dogs and cats. Echo was discovered starving and suffering from heartworms. But now the male shepherd mix has gained some weight and is under treatment. He is calm, loving and friendly. Belle had been living under a shed but was forced out due to flooding.
The recent storms have caused local flooding and Belle lost the shed she was living under. Scared, wet and hungry she was rescued and now is in need of a warm, loving home. Shelly was emaciated when she was rescued from a high-kill shelter but is doing great now.
Shelly is a sweet, affectionate purebred Belgian Malinois rescued from a high-kill shelter. She was extremely emaciated when she came to Heidi's Legacy Dog Rescue but has a good appetite and is filling out. She is a loving, gentle girl deserving of a great family. Her spirit is a happy one. Despite whatever she has gone through, she remains sweet natured. She is good with other dogs and has been with small children. Ruthie is sweet, intelligent and very social.
Ruthie, a Jack Russell terrier or Parson Russell terrier, was pulled from a kill shelter where her time was up. For unknown reasons, Ruthie was just passed over by potential adoptors and other rescue groups. Ruthie's foster mom has been training Ruthie and says she picks up her lessons with no effort. Kennedy is a gentle giant who loves to be cuddled.
A deployed serviceman is desperately seeking a new home for his 5-year-old mastiff, Kennedy. Kennedy is a an apricot-colored female mastiff, the largest breed of dog in the world. Although she weighs 150 pounds, she is sweet, loving and gentle with the family's 2-year-old. She does needs some help and training to get along with other dogs, but is wonderful with families. Kennedy is a typical mastiff, happy just to lay around and be cuddled! She is spayed and up to date on her shots.
