Bloomingdale East drivers continue to detour near Glenhaven Drive on Natures Way as work continues to repair a sewage line. All four lanes have been closed to repair the 18-inch ductile iron pipeline. Through-traffic on Natures Way will be rerouted at Greenhollow Lane and Glenhaven Drive. The work is expected to last through March 8, according to a sign posted at the stie of construction. Depending on the extent of the repairs and to expedite the work, crews may be on site after normal working hours. Water and wastewater service interruptions are not expected. Drivers should observe all road signs and detour routes, and use caution while navigating in the area around the repairs, especially near construction workers. For more …

Around this time each year, a decidedly festive transformation takes place in Pam and Joe Liguori's Bloomingdale East home. Like the homes of many Christmas lovers, every room in the Liguori house is decked out with an array of holiday decorations, including Pam Liguori's collection of snowmen, angels and Santa Claus figures. But the most dramatic change is in the couple themselves. Pam Liguori pulls her granny gown, mop cap and shawl out of storage while Joe airs out his white beard and Santa suit just in time to usher in the holidays as Bloomingdale's perennial Santa and Mrs. Claus. It's a cherished role the couple have now played for 26 years for the Bloomingdale Homeowners Association. And over the past two decades they've expanded …
