Randall Middle School Musicians Spread Holiday Cheer to Shoppers

Student musicians performed for shoppers at Barnes & Noble Booksellers at Westfield Brandon Dec. 8.

As harried shoppers scurried to find the perfect gift and then stand in long lines to purchase it, the holiday chore was made a bit more tolerable by string musicians from Randall Middle School. On Dec. 8, the musicians performed at Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Westfield Brandon, filling the story with the sounds of holiday music.

5 Things to Do With Kids This Weekend

Here are some ideas for activities to do with youngsters

1. On Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Tampa Museum of Art, 120 W. Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa, offers a drop-in art program. Experience your child’s creativity by exploring the galleries together and then create an art project in the museum classroom. The art projects are self-guided and the gallery-related monthly themes offer a different art activity each week. Jan. 29 is a project on portraying emotions with color schemes. The events are geared to children age 3 to 10.
