South Brandon Worship Center
4929 Bell Shoals Rd, Valrico, FL 33596
South Brandon Worship Center has two worship services on Sunday, at 9:15am and 10:45am. During the 9:15More service, it offers a Kingdom Kids' Children's Ministry for infants through fifth-graders. During the 10:45 service, the center encourages families to worship together and offers child care for infants through 5-year-olds. Worship services generally last about 1 hour and 15 minutes. They begin with a time of worship and praise, led by a full worship band of drums, guitars, keyboards and vocalists. The music is contemporary and celebratory. The center has two large video screens displaying the words to any songs the congregation sings. There may be special announcements or features and occasionally dramas and videos are presented (often humorous). Pastor Len Harper is down-to-earth and humorous. His messages are biblical, passionate and relevant to the needs of everyday life, often incorporating visual illustrations or other creative means to reinforce the truths of the message. Between the 9:15 and our 10:45 worship services, doughnuts, coffee, juice and water are served in the breezeway. The church encourages people to worship God in a way that most suits who they are. Many people wear business casual clothing, and others wear jeans and a T-shirt. The children's ministry at South Brandon is designed to partner with parents and invest in the spiritual growth of children. South Brandon also offers weekday family groups, including a group for men, women, adults, youth, college-age members and families. Ministries include the Vision of the Ambassadors of Jesus Ministry, which works with the Church of Haiti; the Healing and Deliverance Ministry, which steers believers into a deeper, more intimate relationship with Jesus; and prayer teams. For youth, there's a YouthForce group, which meets Wednesdays from 7p. to 8:30pm, and a Student Leadership Group, which meets Wednesdays from 6pm to 6:45pm and is open to all middle school and high school students who are ready to go to the "next level" in their walk with Jesus.
