How to Save on Super Bowl Party Foods!

Just like any other major holiday, Thanksgiving, Easter, Christmas, the Super Bowl has become a great “Food” Holiday meaning that stores and restaurants are going to entice you to spend your money at their facility! So whether you are hosting a party at home, or headed to a sports restaurant, everyone is running specials on their “Football” associated products, and you can be savvy to maximize your savings.

Here are some great saving tips:

  1. Stock Up Right Now – As a saver, whether having a football party or not, NOW is the time to stock up on snack foods…yes, enough to last for about three months! Frozen Pizza, Doritos, Turkey Kielbasa and Pepsi are all at Stock-Up prices!
  2. Plan It Right – I realize that Pizza is easier to order at the last minute…but if you can stock up now, you can run to your freezer instead of the front door and save your wallet a TON of money too. Right now, two frozen pizza brands are on sale, Freschetta and Tombstone. You will want to use the Freschetta coupon out of the Jan 12th paper, but Tombstone is at the $2.50 stock-up price with no coupon even needed! (DO NOT buy the Kashi pizza right now, even though it has a coupon, it is NOT at it’s lowest price right now!)
  3. Restaurant Savings – Instead of ordering wings from the restaurant to cater your party…make it at home! Restaurant wings are 50 cents each at the cheapest…but only cost pennies to make at home. Here’s how in 2 easy steps: Start with fresh (not frozen) chicken wings: (1) Broil for about 5 mins on each side to crispen the skin (2) Crock Pot them (on high for 30 mins)…to finish cooking and simmer in your favorite BBQ or buffalo sauce! That’s easy enough for anyone to do quickly! Add some blue cheese and celery and you’re mouth and your wallet will both enjoy them!
  4. If You Missed The Sunday Paper (1/26/14), Try To Grab A Couple If You Can – We received Five Coupon Inserts! You will want to use that great DiGiorno Coupon on the front of the SmartSource and get a deal on Pizza at Target! (they’re only $2.50 each!) {check out the Target Deal}

Because of an outstanding football game, everybody wins with the opportunity to save money on fun foods to last over the next few months!
