When I was a little girl my mom would read one particular story to me that I absolutely LOVED called "The Fourteen Bears in Summer and Winter". I kept asking her over and over to read it to me. She is a such a Wonderful mom and read the book to me many, many, MANY times! Bless Her Heart! :0)
One day she had the perfect idea that would help get some laundry washed and make me the happiest little girl ever! ;0) She recorded herself reading it to me on a cassette tape. I could then hear the story anytime I wanted during the day! I still have that cassette today and listen to it every so often. I love hearing my mom's voice and my little kid voice. I will cherish that cassette forever!
Recently, I ran across a website where you can video record yourself reading FREE on-line children's books! The website is called A Story Before Bed. It has quite a few FREE books you can read and record! I recorded the little duck Cinderella story for my children and they love it! You can also purchase a membership with them if you find more great books that were not listed as FREE.
