Toilet Paper: How to know if it’s a Good Deal

Do you know if the toilet paper you are buying is a good deal? Or not? Here is a simple rule to make sure!

I’ve officially given up hope. I went 3 years and never paid for Toilet Paper, but since mid 2011, it seems that the Bath Tissue deals have severely dwindled! Taken into consideration all the different size rolls it is hard to know if you’re really getting a good deal. So, here is a simple rule to figure out what you should pay, and if it is a good deal:

Look at the front bottom of the toilet paper package to
determine the total square feet. Now insert a decimal point in this
number two places to the left. If the cost of the package minus coupons is less than or equal to this figure, it’s a decent deal — basically $0.01 or less per square foot!

Example:

TP #1 = 400 sq. ft.; price = $6; stock-up price $4, so not a fabulous deal….

TP #2 = 650 sq. ft.; price = $5; stock-up price $6.50, so definitely a bargain!

Some of  you may be thinking…where does the double/single ply come
into play? Well, that boils down to shear personal preference!
