South Shore Anglers to Host Fishing Tournament

South Shore Anglers is hosting a special fishing tournament to benefit A Kids Place in Brandon Friday, May 6 from 7 to 8 p.m.

A Kid's Place is an emergency shelter on Lithia-Pinecrest Road for abused and neglected children.

The fee to enter the tournament is $25. Kids 15 years old and younger fish for free. You may fish anywhere in Tampa Bay; you do not have to have a boat.

Everyone who is fishing (or is interested in fishing) should attend a meeting May 7 at 3 p.m. to pick up goody bags. Weigh-in is at 3 p.m. May 7 at South Shore Bait & Tackle,81st 7th St. N.E., Ruskin. There will be prizes for the longest-measured Spanish mackerel in both the adults' and kids division.
