Lady Bulls Head To Alonso With District In Sight

The Bloomingdale Lady Bulls travel to Alonso tonight with a one game lead over the Ravens.

Since sweeping their most recent tournament, the Lady Bulls have put together impressive performances coming into tonight's district match-up with Alonso.

Bloomingdale (13-9-0, second place, 6A District 8) will travel to Alonso (14-6-0, third place, 6A District 8) with a slim one game lead over the Ravens in the district race. With three games left versus Alonso, Freedom and Hillsborough, Bloomingdale may need a sweep to stay in post-season contention.

After a tough loss to Plant, the Lady Bulls surrendered their grip on the district lead and trail only Plant for the top spot.

The Lady Bulls (3-3 in away games) will face a tough opponent on many different levels in the Ravens. Along with effective batting, Alonso (8-1 at home) will showcase one of the county's best pitchers in Erika Shick.
