Lady Bulls Set to Face Raiders

The Lady Bulls from Bloomingdale are set to match up against the Lady Raiders of Plant City tonight in a nondistrict match-up.

Both teams are looking to stay atop their perspective districts and need a win to assure post-season survival.

Bloomingdale (4-6-0; 2-1-0, second place, 6A District 8) will travel to Plant City (6-3-0; 3-2-0, third place, 5A District 8) tonight at 7 p.m. This will be the first meeting between the two teams this season.

The Lady Bulls post a 1-3-0 record away from home while Plant City boasts a perfect 4-0-0 home record.The Lady Bulls are posting strong outings in their last two games, splitting wins and losses to Riverview and Newsome. Team leadership and solid hitting, most notably by junior center fielder Jordan Alexander (.500 batting average, 1 HR, 12 RBI's) will give the Lady Raiders a very tough challenge at home.

Bloomingdale's pitching staff will need to be precise and intentional tonight versus the Lady Raiders. Plant City has a .314 batting average this season while the Bloomingdale pitching staff has an opposing batting average of .322.
