Tough Turtle Hurdle

St. Petersburg, Florida – February 19, 2012 – Kids of all ages will be allowed and even encouraged to play in the mud one of the best kids’ fun races in the Tampa Bay area!

“The Turtle Hurdle,” is organized especially for kids by TriKidsRock (www.trikidsrock.com) and will feature 15 fun and child-friendly, muddy obstacles on a ½ mile closed course. “The kids have an amazing time running through the muddy obstacle course, while unknowingly incorporating strength training and cardiovascular fitness components!" says Eve "IronMom" Barrett.

The event will take place on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 9 a.m. at the Walter Fuller Soccer Fields (on the southeast fields) located at 2800 75th St. North in St. Petersburg. Children as young as four are encouraged to get on their mud-day’s best and get down and dirty!

Each child will receive a medal for participating, along with a turtle charm of TucKeR the Turtle, the TriKidsRock mascot, both of which are given out at every TriKidsRock children’s and family event to encourage participation and excitement for exercise. There will also be a post-race breakfast for everyone.

The Turtle Hurdle race is open to children ages four through 14. Participants can register online at IMathlete.com (Category: Other Events in St. Petersburg). This is the 2nd Turtle Hurdle being put on by TriKidsRock. The first one took place in Dunedin last October and was a sold out event!
