Summer Camp Registration

It’s only March, but now is the time to register for the only camp that will max out your children’s summer. Hillsborough County’s 2011 Max Out Summer Camp, scheduled June 13 through Aug. 19, offers a supervised playground program, games, arts and crafts, sports, and more at 33 locations for ages 5 to 15. The camp will be open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Parents currently enrolled in the Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department’s after-school program must register on April 18 or 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to reserve a spot in the summer program. Those not currently enrolled must register on April 20 or 21, between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Registration must be completed at the recreation center where their child will be attending summer camp.

Cost for the entire summer program is $480, and discounts are available based on income. To be considered for program discounts, applications must include the first page of their 1040 federal income tax form for 2010.

For more information, contact the recreation center your child will be attending, or call the Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department at 813-635-3500. Visit www.hillsboroughcounty.org/park to print and complete your application form.
