Price: $40 (4 classes) Yoga is a discipline that creates health and well-being by building awareness, strength, and flexibility in both mind and body. It is also a practice of cultivating positive life skills that serve us as we step off of our mats into the world. Beginning to practice yoga as children, we learn to embrace our own beautiful gifts, those of each other, and live our lives with abundant joy. In our kids yoga classes, there is a balance between spontaneity and structure, so that children learn to listen to themselves and each other as well as express themselves creatively. Interweaving story, song, games and poses, children learn in a multi-sensory environment, exploring kinesthetic, visual, and aural learning. Children are also encouraged to respect and pay attention to their bodies, making sure each pose feels good and coming in and out of positions when they feel ready (something most adults have a hard time doing!). Children from ages 5-8 are invited to come play yoga! Move, stretch, breathe, sing, play games, and celebrate life together! Dynamic explorations in vinyasa and partner poses are also introduced, making this class a fun and magical journey.
