Engineering, Robotics Camps

The Florida Advanced Technological Education Center and Hillsborough Community College summer camps are designed to introduce middle school students to the world of robotics and automation so they can then explore the applications in both the industrial and personal use field.

The camp facilitators are from Hillsborough County Public Schools, HCC and local industry. The programs are held in conjunction with the Florida Advanced Technological Education Center at the HCC Brandon campus.

Students will learn how to reconfigure LEGO Mindstorms Robots and program them to follow specific commands, be a part of robot team challenges, learn software design techniques and operate a 3D printer to produce prototype parts.
