Bulls Fall To Ravens In District Match-up

Bloomingdale falls short against tough Alonso pitching on Friday night.

It was widely known that this would be a great match-up between two of the top teams battling for position in the Hillsborough County 6A District 8 standings. On Friday night, fans at Bloomingdale High School witnessed a game that certainly lived up to the hype.

Pitching dominated Friday's game as both teams amassed a total of only seven hits and two runs as Bloomingdale fell short against division opponents Alonso at home, 2-0.

Bloomingdale (5-5-0, third place in 6A District 8) came into Friday's game with one thing on their mind-- a win. Alonso (6-2-0, tied first place, 6A District 8) making the long travel made little use of Bloomingdale's bats and took advantage of unfortunate mistakes to win an important conference match-up.
