Plant City vs. Bloomingdale: A Shutout Victory

Bloomingdale is two-and-two for the season after a homecoming game defeat at the hands of the Plant City Raiders. Final score: 40-0.

"Two second-half interceptions fueled the Raiders' runaway win," according to Tampa Bay Times report on game coverage. "Plant City (4-0) led 19-0 before picking off McIntyre twice for two touchdowns 54 seconds apart that made it a 33-0 game."

Next up for the Bulls are home games against Alonso (Oct. 4), Newsome (Oct. 25) and Wharton (Nov. 1). Bloomingdale hits the road for contests against East Bay (Oct. 11), Riverview (Oct. 18) and Middleton (Nov. 8).

Looking for their third win of the season, the Bloomingdale High School Bulls host the Plant City Raiders at home tonight, Sept. 27. Game time is 7 p.m.

The Bulls face the undefeated Raiders, who are 1-0 in district play and 3-0 overall. Plant City's national rank is 982; its state rank, 70, according to MaxPreps.com.

The Bulls (0-1 in league play and 2-1 overall) are ranked 2,246 in the nation and 139 in the state, according to MaxPreps.com.

Bloomingdale's sole loss of the season was against Plant (50-40). Wins this year were over Strawberry Crest (23-12) and  Brandon (21-0).

As for their opponent, the Raiders scored wins over Steinbrenner (25-10), Wharton (33-0) and Durant (14-13).
