Teachers-Students Battle it Out During Bloomingdale Feud

The event will take place Friday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m.

It's teachers vs. students in a feud to see to see which knows the top answers to questions posed to the Bloomingdale High School student body.

The Bloomingdale High School PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) will host "Bloomingdale Feud" Friday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium, 1700 Bloomingdale Ave., Valrico.

The event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased for $5 each at the door.

Four teachers will face off against four students a game similar to the "Family Feud" game show. If the teachers win, $100 will be donated to each of their preferred school clubs. If the students win, $100 will be given to each of their respective grades.

One hundred students were polled for their answers to the survey questions that will be asked.

The emcee will be Patrick Sheehan, a social studies teacher at Bloomingdale.

The teachers and their nicknames are:

Heather Hanks, "The Deadline," playing for the lournalism program

Howard Saviet, "Angel of Death," playing for Rho Kappa, the Social Studies Honor Society

Sharell McInerney, "Annihilator," playing for the Marine Science Club

Cary Hornaman, "Horn-I-can," playing for the Leo Club, associated with the Lions Club.

The student participants are senior Paula Hernandez, junior Chris Ann Grey, sophomore Peter Hanhan and freshman Anthony Lima. The alternate student player is senior Dante Singleton.
