Shop at Westfield Mall to Benefit Schools

The mall is offering opportunities to win $2,500 for your school and is collecting items for "Stuff the Bus."

It won't be long before kids everywhere go back to school.

This year, Westfield Brandon is offering residents the chance to give back to school as well - to the tune of $2,500, according to a press release from Westfield.

Westfield's Give Back To School event goes on Aug. 1 through September 12. It's a chance to take advantage of back-to-school savings, win cash for your school and help underprivileged kids in the  community.

Winning the $2,500 is easy. Just score the most points for your school - and there are two ways to make that happen:

  • Shop to Win: For every dollar you spend, you'll score a point.
  • Like Us: You'll get 100 bonus points when you Like us on Facebook and register your school.

*Stop by the Westfield Concierge or management office to log your receipts for school points. Hours are Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

For the complete lowdown on Give Back To School, grab a copy of Westfield's Discount Guide the next time you're at Westfield Brandon.

The Discount Guide has a list of valuable back-to-school offers from stores throughout Westfield Brandon and details on how to win $2,500 for your school.

Unfortunately, a lot of kids will be going back to school this year without school supplies and backpacks. But you can help them out by bringing school supplies and backpacks to Westfield Brandon and dropping them off in the collection bin located at the Westfield Concierge in center court.

All donations will benefit the Kiwanis Club of Greater Brandon, which is holding a "Stuff the Bus" school supply drive. The "Stuff the Bus" event will take place Aug. 19 from 7 to 9 a.m. at Kmart, 1602 W. Brandon Blvd., Brandon.

At that time, the Kiwanis Club will fill Hillsborough County school buses with school supplies. Help "Stuff the Bus" by providing necessary school supplies for underprivileged children in the greater Brandon Area. Supplies being collected include paper, notebooks, pencils, pens, backpacks, scissors, crayons and pocket folders. Download the list here.
