Riverview Chamber to Host Breakfast for New Teachers

The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce will welcome new teachers to the area during the annual New Teachers' Breakfast Aug. 16 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Riverview High School, 11311 Boyette Rd., Riverview.

In what's become a community tradition, each year the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce treats new teachers and principals to breakfast to help welcome them to the area and help kick off the new school year.

Also invited are members of the Hillsborough County School Board and schools Superintendent Maryellen Elia.

In addition to breakfast, all teachers attending will receive a goodie bag with items donated by area businesses.

New teachers and principals are invited from Barrington Middle School, Boyette Springs Elementary, Collins Elementary, Corr Elementary, East Bay High School, Eisenhower Middle School, Frost Elementary, Gibsonton Elementary, Ippolito Elementary, Giunta Middle School, Kids Community College, Newsome High School, Pivot Charter School, Randall Middle School, Riverview High School, Riverview Elementary, Rodgers Middle School, Sessums Elementary, Spoto High School, Stowers Elementary, Summerfield Crossings Elementary, Summerfield Elementary, Symmes Elementary, Valrico Lake Advantage Charter School and Winthrop Charter School.

The breakfast is free for teachers and principals. Chamber members pay $25.
