Kona Ice Helps Mulrennan Raise Funds for American Heart Association

Kona Ice donated $1,199 to the middle school for its "Hoops for Hearts" event.

Dale and Wendy Cooper, along with their Kona Ice Entertainment Vehicle, helped Mulrennan Middle School raise $1,199 for the American Heart Association. 

They, along with all the faculty and students, participated in the "Hoops for Hearts" May 23-27, led by physical education teachers Mary Goodus and Allison Sullenberger.  

Kona Ice is a family-owned business that was started by the Coopers in June 2009. Kona Ice is a mobile ice truck that goes to events and places such as ball games, schools, daycare centers and parties, serving a variety of ices.

Kona Ice currently serves East Bay Little League, Riverview High School, East Bay High School, Center Academy, numerous daycare centers and Montessori schools. Kona Ice also was at Bucs games, Gasparilla, the Brandon Blast and a U2 concert at Raymond James Stadium.

They can be seen at night in neighborhoods bringing  a touch of coolness on those hot nights and weekends. They can also be seen at school carnivals and spring flings. They also bring their unique treat to retirement parties, birthday parties and block parties.

On another note, the Coopers participate with organizations and their fundraising. They will donate part of their proceeds to the organization if they work at the event.
