Hillsborough County to Host 6th Annual Career & College Fest

The event will take place Oct. 24 at the Florida State Fairgrounds.

Hillsborough County middle and high school students are invited to see what colleges have to offer and what careers are available to them when the Hillsborough County School District hosts its sixth annual Career & College Fest.

The event will take place Wednesday, Oct. 24 at the Florida State Fairgrounds Entertainment Hall.

There will be a session from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for middle magnet and high school students, a session from 1 to 3:30 p.m. for traditional middle school students and a session from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. for the general public.

The fest is an opportunity for students and their parents to speak one on one with instructors and students from secondary and postsecondary programs, business and industry partners, and college/technical school representatives about career pathways training, industry certifications, articulation agreements and apprenticeships.

More than 1,600 eighth-graders and seniors will be transported to the event from their schools during the day while families with students of all ages are encouraged to visit during the evening session.
