The Brandon Bar Association will present a free legal information session to Brandon residents on Tuesday, April 5, at 7 p.m. at the Brandon Regional Library, 619 Vonderburg Drive. The April session will feature attorney, Dan Pilka, discussing the legal issues pertaining to homeowners associations. This is the 10th session in the Brandon Bar's Legal Information Series with a range of topics from estate planning to divorce to bankruptcy.
Area residents are encouraged to attend this free legal seminar and have their legal questions answered. Pilka will present information relating to homeowners associations including bylaws, amendments, enforcement of covenants and restrictions, collection of dues and fees, and other associated topics.
Pilka is the managing partner of Pilka & Associates with offices in Brandon and Lakeland. A Stetson Law graduate, Pilka is a certified circuit civil mediator with more than 25 years of legal experience. His areas of practice include civil trial practice, negligence, personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, insurance, homeowners' association law, condominium law, general civil litigation, real estate litigation, construction litigation and contracts and commercial litigation.
