Costume Crusade for Spinal Muscular Atrophy @ The Village Early Learning Center

The Village Early Learning Center, formerly Tutor Time Learning Center of Brandon, is holding its 11th Annual Costume Crusade to raise money and awareness of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).  Funds raised go to FSMA  (Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy) for research and support.  SMA is the #1 genetic killer for children under 2 years old.  It is a neuromuscular condition that affects mobility and respiration.  The Costume Crusade March on Oct. 28 will kick-off a full week of activities for fun and fundraising!At the Village ELC, infants through PreK students will parade in costume and then participate in carnival games on Friday, Oct.28.  Parents and community members are asked to purchase raffle tickets for beautiful baskets of items donated by parents, small businesses, and community agencies.  Openings still exist for businesses that want to participate.On Saturday, Oct. 29, from 5 pm - 8 pm, the event will be "Halloween in the Halls" and The Village ELC will host a haunted halls for older children and preschool carnival games for the younger ones.  A bounce house is being donated by Jim & Ann Rose.Saturday, Nov. 5 from 8 AM - 2 PM the Community Fair and Parking Lot Sale is the final event for the fundraiser.  Small businesses are welcome to display their services or products.  Household donations from The Village's 177 families are for sale and the BASKET WINNERS will be picked!  Come out to support this charity and get some great deals  from our business neighbors!
