Cancer Fighters Ready for Bloomingdale Relay For Life Tonight

The 2013 Bloomingdale Relay For Life kicks off 6 p.m. April 5 at Bloomingdale High School. Donations for the six Relays in Eastern Hillsborough County top $300,000.

 

The American Cancer Society's 2013 Relay For Life season in Eastern Hillsborough County continues tonight, April 5, at Bloomingdale High School, where the overnight fundraiser is set to kick off 6 p.m. with 51 teams and about 650 registered participants. 

Additional Relays for Eastern Hillsborough County are scheduled in the weeks ahead for Armwood, Brandon and Plant City high schools. Relays were held late last month at Riverview and Newsome high schools.

Collectively, as of 6 a.m. April 2, the six sites in Eastern Hillsborough County had reported 249 teams, 3,743 participants and $316,682.63 raised. (See chart below.)
