Applications Available for College Scholarships

The MacDill Officers' Spouses' Club is awarding merit scholarships to high school seniors and military spouses.

The MacDill Officers' Spouses' Club will award merit scholarships for 2012 in to graduating high school seniors and military spouses.

Requirement information and application forms will be available at www.macdillosc.com after Jan. 26.

Application information and forms also will be available at the Airman and Family Readiness Center at MacDill Air Force Base and at the MacDill Family Resource Center, 710 Oakfield Dr., Brandon, after Feb. 1. 

Counselors for high school seniors also will have copies available in their school offices beginning in February.

Applications are to be returned to MOSC via U.S. mail and must be postmarked no later than March 21, 2012, for consideration. Questions should be addressed to: scholarship@macdillosc.com.

MOSC is a social group for spouses of military personnel, with the objective to make new friends, nurture existing relationships and to raise funds to support military and local charities.

Membership is open to spouses of active-duty officers, retirees and civillians G5-9 and above.

Spouses of active-duty reservists and national guardsmen are also welcome.

The club holds monthly luncheons on the third Thursday of most months starting in September and ending in May.

Locations for the luncheons vary to accommodate those who live at MacDill and the surrounding areas of Tampa.

The new welcome center is located at 8414 Fortress Drive, MacDill AFB (located to the left of Tinker Elementary School). There is a charge of $15 per person to attend the mixer.
