Additional School Board Redistricting Meetings Scheduled

Five more meetings will be held to receive public input.

The Hillsborough County School Board, in conjunction with the Planning Commission and Supervisor of Elections Office, will host five additional meetings throughout the community to provide information and receive public input on four options for redrawing School Board member districts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

The School Board originally was presented three options and held public meetings and a workshop on those boundary proposals. Since then, a board member has requested an additional option.

This process is required by Florida law to occur in the year after the U.S. Census is taken.
