Traffic to Be Detoured off Expressway Ramps

If you're headed in Tampa today, be prepared for more detours on the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway this weekend as the Florida Department of Transportation continues construction work on the expressway entranceways.

Among them, the northbound Interstate 75 exit to northbound U.S. 301 (Exit 254) will be closed from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 5, to 5 a.m. Monday, March 7.

Traffic will be routed to the southbound U.S. 301 ramp, then will make
a u-turn south of Bloomingdale Avenue to go north on U.S. 301.

There will also be two periods when the northbound I-75 access to southbound
U.S. 301 also will be closed. This will be from 9 p.m. Saturday, March 5, to 2
a.m. Sunday, March 6,  and from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, March 7.

During these two periods, traffic will be detoured to the Selmon Expressway
(S.R. 618) to use the non-tolled portion to the U.S. 301 exit.

The southbound U.S.301 entrance ramp onto northbound I-75 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday, March 7 -8 nights. 

Traffic will continue south on U.S. 301, then will make a u-turn south of Bloomingdale Avenue to go north on U.S. 301 and use the northbound U.S. 301 ramp onto northbound I-75.

One lane will be closed on the northbound I-75 frontage ramps between U.S. 301 and State Road 60 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday and Tuesday, March 7-8. nights.  One lane will also be closed on the ramp from these frontage lanes to the Selmon Expressway (SR 618) from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday, March 9-10, nights.

The northbound U.S. 301 entrance ramp onto northbound I-75 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday. March 9-10, nights. 

Traffic will continue north on northbound U.S. 301, then will make a u-turn at the signalized intersection at Crescent Park Drive to go south on U.S. 301 and use the southbound U.S. 301 entrance ramp to northbound I-75.
