State Sen. Ronda Storms, R-Valrico, is giving residents a chance to exchange cookies, recipes and ideas at her Sixth Annual Ladies Christmas Cookie Exchange Friday, Dec. 16 at 11:30 a.m., at All Persons Playground in Brandon.

"It's an opportunity in a relaxed setting to share a little fellowship," Storms said. "And for me, to share a little about what's happening in Tallahassee."
The senator is encouraging residents to come out and talk about subjects ranging from pending bills to using butter versus Crisco.
Each resident is asked to bring one dozen cookies to share and another one dozen to exchange.
Children are welcome to join their parents and play in the park during the cookie exchange.
The park is at 800 South Parsons Ave., next to the little league fields, across the street from All Children's Specialty Care Brandon and just south of the Vonderburg Drive turn to the Brandon Regional Library and Center Place Fine Arts & Civic Association.
An attorney and former high school teacher, Storms has been a Florida state senator since 2006. Prior to that, she served on the Hillsborough County Commission from 1998-2006. She is the mother of two children.
Those wishing to attend the cookie exchange should RSVP to Storms' legislative assistant, Hannah Hodge, at 813-651-2189 or Hodge.email@example.com.
