Local Republicans to Host '100-Day Countdown Picnic' at Medard Park

The event will take place Saturday, May 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Greater Brandon, Alafia and Plant City Republican Clubs will host the “100 Day Countdown Picnic” at Medard Park in Plant City on Saturday, May 19th. The picnic will be held at the Burnt Stump Pavilion in the park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The picnic observes the 100-day countdown to the Republican National Convention being held in Tampa, and is a chance for grassroots Republicans to meet with federal, state and local candidates. Free barbecue, door prizes and raffles will be offered. A straw poll fundraiser also will be held.

Debbie Cox-Roush will lead the ceremonies. Cox-Roush is the former vice chairwoman for the Republican Party of Florida and the former chairwoman for the Hillsborough County Republican Party. She's also a member of the Alafia Republican Club.
