The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, has invited candidates to speak at the 2012 Political Forum scheduled for tonight, Oct. 11 at the Hilton Garden Inn Tampa East/Riverview/Brandon, 4328 Garden Vista Dr., Riverview.
The two-hour forum is set to begin at 6 p.m.
"The evening has been designed to educate and bring awareness to our community and [to] give the candidates an opportunity to speak on issues affecting us on the local and state levels," said Tanya Doran, executive director of the Riverview chamber.
Those attending should arrive early. Doran said a standing-room-only crowd is expected. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no charge to attend. A cash bar and appetizers will be provided.
Moderator, Dr. Bryan Thatcher, will devote considerable time to questions and answers, and each candidate will have the opportunity to speak.
The candidates will have no prior knowledge of the questions being asked.
