Water Improvements Meeting

The Hillsborough County Public Utilities Department has scheduled a public meeting on May 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Frost Elementary School, 3950 Falkenburg Rd., Riverview, to discuss a project to improve water quality and water pressure in the area northeast of Causeway Boulevard and U.S. 301.

The $400,000 project will construct more than 3,600 feet of 6-inch and 4-inch water pipelines along Alambra Avenue, Calle Street, Ventura Avenue, San Marco Place, Mariposa Place and Asturias Place. Six new fire hydrants also will be installed. Construction is scheduled to get under way in June and be completed by October.

The work is part of the Countywide Potable Water Main/Distribution Lines Renewal and Replacement Project. The project is funded through the Water Enterprise Capital Improvement Program.
