The Alafia Republican Club will host its monthly meeting Aug. 20 at Beef O' Brady's. 4330 Bell Shoals Rd., Valrico. There will be a social time at 6 p.m. and the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Speakers will be Hillsborough County Commission candidate Margaret Iuculano, School board candidate Terry Kemple and Ken Roberts, who will discuss the negative effects of overregulation caused by the Hillsborough Planning Commission.
