Closures Announced for Lee Roy Selmon Expressway

Continued construction on the I-4 connector has prompted some expressway closures.

Closures with detours are scheduled for the Selmon Expressway (SR
618) as listed below. If the schedule changes, updates will be posted on the myTBI.com web site.

The detours will happen between 22nd Street (Exit 9) and 50th Street (Exit 11) for the lower levels.

Also, the Reversible Express Lanes (REL) entrance at Meridian Avenue may not be open from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. several nights.

All eastbound traffic will be directed off the Selmon Expressway at 21st/22nd Street (Exit 9), detoured east on State Road 60 (Adamo
Drive), then back onto the expressway using the 50th Street entrance ramp. Tolls will be suspended for exiting the eastbound Selmon at 22nd Street during the detour hours only.

The first opportunity for eastbound drivers to enter the REL from the lower level of the Selmon Expressway will be at the slip ramp located just west of U.S. 301.
