Bridge Over Archie Creek In Riverview Closed Until Further Notice

An inspection found the small bridge is structurally deficient.

Hillsborough County Public Works Department has closed the Old U.S. Highway 41A Bridge over Archie Creek until further notice as a result of an inspection that found the small bridge is structurally deficient. The closure is from Burts Road to the Mosaic facility located on the road.
Old U.S. Highway 41A in Riverview is an industrial road that is not heavily used by the public, but is primarily used by trucks traveling to industrial facilities on the road. Old U.S. Highway 41A branches off of U.S. Highway 41 and is between Bloomingdale Avenue and Riverview Drive.
The detour around the closure is to take U.S. Highway 41 to access Old U.S. Highway 41A on either end of the road that is open.  Variable message boards will be placed at both ends of the detour advising drivers of the closure and detour.
For more information, contact the Public Works Department at (813) 272-5275.
