Adopt a Precinct and Raise Funds for Your Charity

Nineteen organizations raised funds during the 2012 Presidential Preference Primary.

News Report:

Adopt A Precinct, a partnership between the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office and civic-minded organizations who serve as poll workers on Election Day, experienced continued growth and participation during the 2012 Presidential Preference Primary.

"During the 2011 City of Tampa elections, we had 12 organizations participate. That number grew to 19 in the Presidential Preference Primary, and I expect the program and community partnerships to continue to grow as we get closer to the primary and general elections," said Earl Lennard, Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections.

During the 2012 Presidential Preference Primary, the 19 organizations raised a total of $12,684.27 for their designated charities and causes. Interested parties can learn more about the program by contacting Ida Booth at 813-276-2421 or via email at Ibooth@hcsoe.org.
