Update: Driver in Stable Condition After FishHawk Blvd. Traffic Crash

The Riverview woman's front tire blew, causing the car to hit a guard rail and flip over, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

The driver in a traffic crash that occurred earlier Wednesday on FishHawk Boulevard is in serious but stable condition at the hospital, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reported.

Crystal Homes, 33, of Riverview, was driving a 1994 Honda Accord when the crash occurred, sheriff's office spokesperson Larry McKinnon wrote in a media release. The car struck a guard rail and flipped over after blowing a tire, officials said.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon on FishHawk Boulevard and sent the driver to the hospital.

The female driver, who was traveling east on FishHawk Boulevard about 2 miles east of Boyette Road around 2:05 p.m. Wednesday, was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital, according to a news release. Her front tire blew, officials said, causing the car to hit a bridge guard rail and then flip over.
